neoform Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 So i found out the hard way, when it comes to creating directories: mkdir() windows systems refuse to make directories with the names "con" or "prn".. instead mkdir throws a fatal error even when you suppress them..you can actually try this on your desktop, try making a directory with the name "con" or "prn"..anyone know why this is? arianhojat Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 hah WEIRD!i asked my sys admin and he says windows uses prn for printers and con for soemthign else.even thoguh those folders dont seem to be hidden, they are reserved by windows?
