johnsmith153
In this: document.addEventListener('click', your_function, false); ...the 'your_function' is the function name. I need to be able to do this: $var_name = "your_function"; document.addEventListener('click', $var_name, false); I am adding event listeners using values in an array so I am looping through the array and performing a function similar to above. I don't just use the above as I understand it does;t work on all browsers - but the key thing is being able to set the function name with a variable. Thanks in advance. scootstah
It would be like this: $var_name = function() { // your function } Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/253784-need-to-use-the-value-in-a-variable-as-the-function-name/#findComment-1301084 Share on other sites
