blyz
Hi, If i had a big website with 1000's of pages called say domain.com , then say 500 of these pages have their own domain such as domain2.com , domain3.com. Would this in anyway effect or damage my google search rankings? or have any other effect on the website ? or would it have a positive ranking effect? Thanks. scootstah
Google will penalize for duplicate content. So if domain2.com links to the same page as domain.com, you will have negative effects. blyz
They will all be linking to different pages but the main page will be domain.com, so if domain2 /3 /4 .com link to other pages will this effect the ranking of the main domain.com ? QuickOldCar
You confused me a bit about the domain2.com and domain3.com If they are actual different domain names, it won't matter because each is it's own domain and will be treated seperately. If you are talking something like site1.domain.com, site2.domain.com, those also are treated as individual sites, since many subdomains are usually unique. If did your sites as domain.com/site1 or domain.com/site2, they usually get associated with the main domain, considered more of a page/folder/section of a website, they have value still, are just considered differently even if they are set up like websites.
