Teeee Posted October 31, 2006 Share Posted October 31, 2006 I tried to find the newbie forum but couldn't so bare with me...I've been trying for the past maybe...9 months to teach myself PHP. I have a few books, downloaded tons of ebooks and I can decipher some code fairly well.I just have no idea where to start when it comes to actually coding something. I have an idea for a website because I figured if I had a clear goal in mind that will help me decide what I need to learn. But I'm not sure if that is the right way to go about it.I read and re-read books,chapters, and tutorials and have yet to code anything.What was the first thing you created?How'd you start using PHP?Any kind of help or guidance would be greatly appreciated because as of right now I feel like I'm going in circles.I'm a fairly competant web designer, I just thought learning a few more programming languages would help once I graduated college and entered the workforce.Thanks for any help or advice you can give...
