Installing PHP with Wamp

Recommended Posts

I've had wamp for a while now and I've had no problems. I installed PHP "5.3 (5.3.10)" through the windows installer at this link:

http://windows.php.net/download/

I did this while I was following a tutorial for running php programs through command prompt. It all seemed to be working until I went back to wamp and now it doesn't seem to be working. I'm getting an orange icon. I've tried restarting all services, restarting/resuming services in the apache sub menu and testing port 80, which tells me that port 80 isn't actually being used so I'm assuming that means the services haven't collided.

Here's what my the most recent error in the log:

[sun Feb 26 15:20:07 2012] [warn] pid file C:/Program Files (x86)/wamp/bin/apache/Apache2.2.17/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run?

When I was installing PHP I had to add a few environment variables, although I'm not sure if that's relevant. Does anyone have any idea what I've done?
