yoursurrogategod
Lately I remembered a board game that I used to play with my sister and dad. I'd like to make my own board game. I have a basic concept that I'd like to try out, still working out the details. Could you guys provide some guidance me? Has anyone here tried making a board game? What lessons did you learn? If you're wondering, I would like to make some money from this, but I don't see myself becoming a multi-billionaire from all of this. I'd like the game to be family-friendly so that it appeals to everyone.
smoseley
Make it simple to learn, moderately difficult to master, with a strong element of luck, and a novel subject matter. Make sure to patent the design, so when you have it produced in China, they won't be able to sell it in the West when they steal it from you. smoseley
FYI: I came across this new board game today, and thought it might interest you. http://www.carnology.com/ It's a novel idea - something you've never seen before. Fits all my criteria above. Problem is it caters only to a niche crowd. Anyhow... cheers!
