bausman480
Hi, I have a logical question. I have a website where people can register. I would like to determine where they came from (i.e. how they stumbled onto my website) and save that to the database when they register. Is there a way to do this? Perhaps through google analytics tracking variables or something? The reason I need to do this is because I eventually want to be able to tell which sources provide accounts that spend the most money on my site. So for example, people coming from forum X spend twice as much money as those who come from forum Y. Thank you!! bausman480
Solved this, thank you. I'm basically going to attach a ?refid=blah to each link i advertise, and record the "blah" in my database. That way I'll know which accounts came from which link, and the only blank records will be search traffic.
