paultickle
can anyone point me in the right direction? I am a novice to web development, I know what I want to do but I don't know how to go about it despite nights of research.I work in a technical services department for a company that sells all manner of laboratory products and I want to create a web application that will allow both staff and customers find products that meet specific criteria. A good example of what I want to do is here:http://www.millipore.com/catalogue.nsf/webitemlist?open&search_criteria=cat_id=6AHLV4&display=parametricHowever, for what I would like to do some criteria will have a number of options which may be applicable (e.g. on a career site where it might say 'what type of job are you looking for?' there is the option to search jobs in 'sales', 'marketing' and 'advertising').Is php and mysql the way forward for this? Alternatively are there applications available that could make my life easier? Any guidance would be gratefully appreciated.
