gkjr1
If this is a dup, I'm really sorry. I've searched and searched and couldn't find this anywhere. I was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. I'm wondering how guild host sites, like guildlaunch, get data from games like Aion and wow. Is it something with curl? I know one site used to get data for Aion is aionarmory.com, but I was just wondering if someone could give me a rough explanation on how (stuff like guilds, characters, items, descriptions, etc from the game). rythemton
World of Warcraft has an API that can be used to retrieve information from the WoW Armory: http://sourceforge.net/p/wowarmoryapi/home/Home/
gkjr1
Cool. That's one down, now I suppose I need to search for other API.
ialsoagree
Sometimes this information is available through an XML feed that will may only have limited instructions available. XFire - an instant messaging service - for example, has a pretty extensive XML feed with a rather bare-bones set of instructions for using said XML feed. If you're not able to find information using a search for API, try searching for the game and "XML" or "XML feed" - you might find something that way.
