matn89
Hi Everyone. I am currently trying to expand my PHP knowledge beyond the basics and I have hit a wall... I want to create a member function named insert which will be capable of inserting any data into the database. So for example i would want it to be able the query : $sql = "INSERT INTO books (title, author) VALUES (:title, :author)"; But then I would also like it to be capable of handing a query like this: $sql = "INSERT INTO users (name, email, password, DOB) VALUES (:name, :email, :password, :DOB)"; The function will be using PDO to insert data into the database. So basically I want to create a function that is capable of inserting data into a database regardless of how many variables are in the INSERT statement. ( I am using PDO ) If anyone could give me some pointers I would be very grateful Thanks for your time Edited December 21, 2012 by matn89 Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/272265-insert-function-which-can-be-used-for-any-insert-query/ Share on other sites
cpd
That's a very open ended question. Instead of asking how do to something provide is with what you have and then we can assist in developing your code further.
