Change form list to individual links

Apologies when this question is not really a php question but as it involves some php, I hope it fits in this forum.

I think php is also part of the answer.

 

I have a simple script that let users choose - with a drop down list - from some items.

 

What I need is to change the items into individual links as in <a href...

 

The part of the code concerned:

 

<form method="get">
<select name="id_item" class="select" onchange="this.form.submit();">
<?php echo sel_list_items($_REQUEST["id_item"]); ?>
</select>
</form>

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
