Database can't connect

I have problem I dont know how to fix.

 

But the database is something like this : sitename_com_-_databasename

 

This cannot be changed because the host sets it.

 

I read something that the name cannot have - in it or this causes errors, however I cannot find any documentation. I read it lightly on one google page.... but I cant find anything more.

 

 

If you can help me out, please post! This is boggling my mind
