loren646
list of supervisors for each building is echoed in a text box. Right now they get echoed each time for every single apartment in the building. I only want it to show up once per building. maybe an if statement saying if supervisors name has been echoed already for that building do not output again. davidannis
Can you post the section of code that you are having trouble with? It would make giving a useful answer easier. Psycho
Assuming you are getting this from a DB query - you should handle the logic int he query to only return unique values. But, you also probably have a problem with your database design. Your "supervisors" should be listed in a separate table. Then your records for the buildings should have a foreign key to reference back to the respective supervisors One way with the current table structure you probably have SELECT DISTINCT supervisor FROM buildings Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/276914-confused-not-sure-how-to-go-about-this-do-not-echo-if-same/#findComment-1424603 Share on other sites
