Customizable Email Template Advice

Hi guys,

 

I have built a HTML email newsletter which consists of images, headers, text etc, but I need to make these elements editable so that if I want to change the current images or text I can do it within the HTML page itself rather then building 20 different email templates. I want to be able to change the images and text throughout the template without using a database. I also need to send the email from the page itself.

 

I'm really only looking for advice on how I could go about doing this in PHP. I have the time and willingness to learn. Any advice, help or links to helpful tutorials or articles would be greatly appreciated, as I really want to learn how to do this myself, I just need to be sent in the right direction in knowing how I can even get started.
