BorysSokolov
The Google search result for my website returns a bad title and description; for the title, Google displays the domain name of my website as opposed to the title I've set in the header. For the description, it displays an error message: "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt - learn more.". I have had a robots.txt file which denied the entire website, but I have removed it since, and now it's been 3 days and the description has stayed invalid. Any help would be appreciated. gizmola
You'll have to wait until Google spiders your site again, and rebuilds its index based on the updated information. I'd highly recommend setting up the google webmaster tools with your site, so you can investigate how Google sees it, and learn ways to address issues with the way your site appears in google: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en You should read/watch this material first: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35769?hl=en&ref_topic=2370419 Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/281822-google-description-and-robotstxt/#findComment-1447996 Share on other sites
Psycho
You can also submit your site here (http://www.google.com/addurl.html) and see if Google indexes it any sooner. gizmola
You can also submit your site here (http://www.google.com/addurl.html) and see if Google indexes it any sooner. In my experience, that doesn't have any effect on the spidering, once a site is already in their index, but it doesn't hurt to try. BorysSokolov
I have already registered for Google WMT, and even submitted a site map. I've also submitted it for indexing, like Psycho suggested. I guess, there's nothing I can do at the moment but wait. Hopefully, this will get fixed soon.
