General Error while doing the coding

Hello everyone. I am learning php language for few days and I come across this error while doing the coding. In error  

I'm getting ' a blank page is appearing rather than my output '. So I want to know why I am getting so ? and what I need to do for the fixing of it?

that generally means you could have a syntax or a fatal error. Have you turned error_reporting on?

 

If you can post your code here, I can have a quick look and see if I can spot the problem for you.

For development you should have error_reporting set to full, and display_errors set to on.  If you don't have access to your php.ini (where it should be set), then you can set it at runtime by adding the following to the top of your scripts.

 

error_reporting(-1);
ini_set('display_errors',1);

Thanks a lot Mr. jcboes and Tinyl for your help. I am new to php so don't know that I need to set my error_reporting to full and all. I'll surely take a look at it. Appreciate your help.
