Login script - i need help changing the edit user details section

hi im new to php

 

im using a script that i found at the link below:

It works fine but i have added a couple of fields to the database : telephone    and   mobile_telephone

 

Ive change the register.php to include these fields but im struggling with the edit_account

The code is not secure, and it was never really intended to be. It's a rather badly named PDO tutorial for beginners, not a login script for actual use in production.

 

Another member of the forum made a more serious attempt of implementing this:

But it's generally a bad idea to just copy and paste code in the hopes that it will do what you expect, especially when it's security-related code. Of course you can use this for inspiration, but the bottom line is, learn PHP and write your own code.
