You are getting that error because your query is most likely failing due to an error. Use mysql_error to see if your query is failing

 

NOTE You should update code to use MySQLi or PDO. The old mysql_* functions are deprecated, which mean they are no longer supported and could soon be removed from future versions of PHP.
