My project is a market place where sellers and stores could place their ads, I want it very very custom,so here are the questions. 1. Do i use php from scratch or maybe a CMS? 2.Is there a possibly to develop a custom cms to admin this project if it has been developed on php or i have to learn to code by the way? 3.how i can detail exactly what i want to the coder,is there a glossary or something like that for the modules? this is the question that came up now,but fell free of give me all advice you think i might know. scootstah
1. Do i use php from scratch or maybe a CMS? There is very little reason to start from a blank slate with PHP today. I'm not sure what kind of customization you want, but I'm willing to bet that an off-the-shelf solution will do most of what you want, from the sounds of your post. 2.Is there a possibly to develop a custom cms to admin this project if it has been developed on php or i have to learn to code by the way? Sure, there's no reason that wouldn't be possible. 3.how i can detail exactly what i want to the coder,is there a glossary or something like that for the modules? Come up with some basic wire frames which illustrate what kinds of data and workflow you want to have. If you know what you want, the developer should be able to pull it out of you. The important thing is knowing what you want before you get the developer.
