bizerk
My web provider, has disabled it's SMTP server for various spam abuse reasons, and I was wondering if there is an alternative way to use the mail(); Function. Like i was thinking use a different SMTP server through port 25? i mean it sounds simple enough. I do it with telnet all the time. doni49
I assume you have an ISP for your own internet access--correct? Most ISP accounts come with 1 or more email addresses. You could outsource to an email server. I use www.fusemail.com ($20/yr) because I need IMAP access to my email from multiple email clients and CPanel won't allow multiple clients to access the email at the same time. Most web hosting plans come with email accounts along with SMTP access. You could use that (PHP's default configuration does NOT use the standard SMTP server). bizerk
It's a freehost, so i get mail FORWARDINg but not SMTP. so does this mean i am restricted from sending mail, because I mean i am pretty sure there are alternative ways.
