gizmola
Yes. You can use PHP to make any type of site you want. It's a building block. It's not the only building block typically used, but it can work with many other types of building blocks. CMS's are built to publish content. For the most part that content needs to be static content. CMS's typically allow for expansion upon the basics, but they don't magically have the ability to morph into an application. You have to write those as modules if you want to start with a CMS platform.
andy17jones
Thanks Gizmola, Can I find any mentor here who can guide me with it. Like which books to read to acquire more knowledge and which PHP & CMS versions are stable to work upon.
jcbones
The largest CMS's out there (in terms of users), tend to be the most stable. The 3 top, AFAIK, is Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal. Anyway, here is a link to the top 10 (in someones opinion) http://http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2011/10/top-10-content-management-systems/
