I am using WAMP (Win 7, PHP 5.4)

I worked on a project using session_start() about 3 months ago.

Now 3 months later I created a new php file, and wrote:

session_start();
echo "<pre>"; print_r($_SESSION); echo "</pre>";

This displays the content of the session from 3 months ago.

Anyone knows why this happens? Is it normal?

Thank you!

What configuration options did you use for sessions? If you have not configured any options then it most likely is set to never expire.

See following pages for config options
