RJSEymour Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 Hi all, I'm new here and in a desperate situation I'm hoping someone can give me help with.....Basically, I have a situation where I need to pass information from one server to another, through a VPN solution so POST/GET will not work succesfully.[b]The situation :[/b]A logon system (not maintained by my company, although the people who maintain this are happy to make any necessary changes their end) takes a username and password and allows access to a website. Once in this website users can access a system maintained by myself through a general link.....However, I need to be able to pass the username across to my system from the previous and am stuck on how to do this....Is it possible to create a 'universal' cookie ? Or is it possible to read/write a file to the client machine rather than the server ?If my options are not achievable, any other ideas would be gratefully recieved.Hope someone can help me....Cheers....
