Hi thanks for getting back to me,
I am trying to install PHP I have setup according to the install sheet but when i proceed to write the test
and then attempt to open it in the browser i just get the php script form. also if I check the services via
apache php isn,t listed so i get the impression it isnt loading.  i have also put the drivers php5apache2.dll and php5ts.dll in the apache directory and also in the windows directory.but still failed.
any ideas?

OK now I understand. Could you attach your httpd.conf to your post so I can have a look at it.

Also do not move/copy any files outside the PHP folder, this can cause all sorts of problem later on.
Hi Wildteen88
Okay I have copied the httpd.conf file and renamed it Transit_httpd.conf
where do you want me to send it. Incidently if I carry out a search for php.ini
or win.ini or httpd.conf the utility comes back with no files found but i can see them
if I browse to them in their individual folders also I get the same result if I do a
global search using *.ini or *.conf but the utility finds other files no problem.
is it possible that if the search utility can not see the  ini files then the same may be
happening with windows explorer? and if that is the case could there be a possible
viral infection although nod32 says everything is all clear
regards go2rcet.
thanks again for your time
You attach the httpd.conf to your post here. When you go to reply to this, press the Reply button then expand the Additional Options... link by clicking it and then use the file upload form to attach the httpd.conf
Hi Wildteen88,
well the good news is I've got PHP up and running, decided to rerun the instalation on a notebook
which worked out fine so then i proceeded back on this pc but under a new user reinstalled  and set up
php.ini and httpd.conf and it fired up straight away. good job burnt a few of those old grey cells
though. even at my age you don't stop learning.
thanks again for your valued attention.
