tallberg Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 I have a script that uploads new or updates image files stored on the server.When the script executes the image is uploaded and resampled successfully but the image that is displayed back to the user is the old image. The only way to display the new image is the refresh the page. Does any one know a way round this? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
taith Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 not with .php ... the webpage is stored in the temp files, along with all the images, changing it on the database/server wont change them on the computer without reloading/ajax. tallberg Posted December 15, 2006 Author Share Posted December 15, 2006 Is there away to force the page to resubmit once the image has been resampled or used a 1 sec time or ??? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
timmah1 Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 can't you just put this in your <head> tag?
<meta http-equiv=" pragma" content=" no-cache" >
Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
taith Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 php only loads once.it cannot tell when a picture gets replaced and drop the new one in, without reloading the page... the exception is when you use ajax/php, and put the ajax on a timer... tallberg Posted December 15, 2006 Author Share Posted December 15, 2006 The page is reloading when the form is submitted - this is not a problem. The problem is that the image that has been replaced does not load, instead the old version of the image reloads presumably from the catch. Unforumately this does work.<meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache">Thanks for replying anyway. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
