IIS and virtual directory problem

I've read tutorials about how-to create the virtual directory in IIS and the problem begins, when i try to look at the page. When i type for example http://localhost/page/, i get the small window that ask me if i want to save the file. It ask me only then, if i create a virtual directory for php website. Is there difference between creating the v. directory for asp.net and php website, cause then maybe i don't create it correctly.
