phrozenflame Posted December 31, 2006 Share Posted December 31, 2006 I want to allow only SSL connection to some of my web folders, how do I do that? I have apache configured for both 80 and 443 with a valid certificate. And all the folders/files are available via both 80 and 443. But I have a sales area which I want to disable port 80 access and only allow port 443 access. I appreciate your help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
the_oliver Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Are you using virtual hosts? if so you can specify it in the top line of each host. Eg: I have an https and docs folder and the following conf:
//FOR STANDARD<VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@bla.net DocumentRoot /var/www/html/bla.co.uk/docs ServerName www.bla.co.uk .......etc</VirtualHost>//FOR SSL<VirtualHost *:443> ServerAdmin webmaster@bla.net DocumentRoot /var/www/html/bla.co.uk/https ServerName www.bla.co.uk .......etc</VirtualHost>
Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pdub56 Posted January 13, 2007 Share Posted January 13, 2007 Using virtualhosts would be a good idea, like the previous poster said. Then the folders that you want to be used as only secure you could make an Alias for and put the information on the disk outside of the document root.
