I have read and seen before that you can use "JOIN" command in php to link 2 tables from 1 database together I have cust_id in client_invoices and id under clients and I want to be able to use the cust_id from client_invoices to get the clients address from clients how can I do this?

Thanks for your help in advance.
<?php
$var = search_variable //whatever that might be
$query = "SELECT clients.address FROM (clients LEFT JOIN client_invoices ON client_invoices.cust_id=clients.idclients)WHERE clients_invoices.cust_id = '$var'";
$result = mysql_query($query)or die ('Error in query: $query. ' . mysql_error());
$row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result);
$answer = $row['clients.address'];
echo $answer;
?>
