MortimerJazz
I know this might be a silly question, but I was wanting to know if there's any way to fire a particular PHP function when a user clicks on a certain image or link.At the moment I'm having to refresh the page, passing the script a certain variable called "action" or something similar. Is this the only way to go about this? Thanks,
utexas_pjm
That's generally the way things work with PHP as it's a server side language. AJAX allows you to make calls to the server asynchronously via javascript. You might want to have a look on google and see if this is something worth implementing.Best,Patrick
taith
you'd want to use ajax for something like that...
Accurax
Ajax is apparently the coolest thing on the web atm .... i have to admit it looks pretty funky :)
taith
well ya... once you get past the incompetance of javascript having something that is client side with the power of php... your limits are practically endless...
