Help with Validator for Captcha PHP

Hi,

First time here.  I need you help guys.  Right off the bat I don't know PHP, I'm learning as I go.  Okay, let's start.  I've been looking for a Captcha code to put in one of my sites.  I found one that I like at: [b][url=http://www.ejeliot.com/pages/php-captcha]http://www.ejeliot.com/pages/php-captcha[/url][/b]
If you go there you ill see the code and how to put it on your site.  Well, I installed it, works [b]BUT [/b]the validation of the characters is not working.  I have no idea HOW to implement such a code (given by the programmer) and that's why I'm here.  Can someone please check the site, look at the instructions and also please check my site located at:

The form works but 2 things are happening:
1) if you put a wrong character, still send the from anyway.
2) The character validation for the captcha is not working.

Any help would me great.  Thank you all.
