Pleebo
Hi guys (and gals), first-time poster here.Quick backgound:I'm a system admin for a University network. Currently we run Windows 2003 Server OS with IIS6 and PHP as the main webserver. Our support website was created out of the need for support staff having to go out to 'clients' on campus and not wanting to carry CDs with them. As a result a virtual directory was created with directory browsing enabled. Although this solved the problem of having drivers and apps available over the network, the layout is very messy and as you'd aggree, not inline with industry standards or user friendly. My Question:Having very limited web design coding knowledge (limited to simple html and being able to configure PHP bundles such as PHP-nuke/ PHPbb2), I require a product that will allow me to create a modern looking downloads website ( an example of what I'm looking for --> http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ ).The catch is, it must look similar to that website, BUT it must be easy to modify/add download options - prefferably web interface uploads so that help desk folk can use it. I'm guessing PHP scripting is the way to go? Does anyone know of a current script that can be used, or adapted?Any suggestions would be welcome and much appreciate.Regards,Pleebo (Justin) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/36154-building-a-support-site-template-question/ Share on other sites
