[SOLVED] Mysql fails to create Subdomain

Biocide

Recommended Posts

OS:  Ubuntu (dapper)

Tool: Webmin (virtualmin)

The Problem: Failed to create virtual server : A MySQL database called "subdomain" or user called "user/owner" already exists

After successfully creating one subdomain, webmin is not allowing me to create an identical subdomain under a seperate user.  These are going to be two different sites run off the same server for the company that my paid internship is at and i need both subdomains under the dif users.  Any help with this would be appreciated.

Problem Solved.

The answer is too simple.  When creating the subdomain, disable the mysql server.  The parent domain will in turn control all the database functions.

I will leave this up here for anyone else who has the same issue at hand.
