uncleronin
I haven't been able to find an answer to this on the net (my searching skills are crap): what happens to objects once a PHP script has finished running? What happens to files that have been opened? The reason I'm asking is because I often open and read files in my scripts but I never actually close them anywhere. Is this an acceptable practice or should I close them? Also I often use global variables. Do they take up memory and then get deallocated or do they still reside somewhere? Can anyone provide some good links or information on memory and file management?
