Hi,

I am doing a small project. I have been given access to a linux machine (RedHat) running Apache2. The project partly involves implementing a secure login with php and mysql. I know openssl is installed because the command 'openssl version' gives an oppropriate response. However: 'apache2ctl startssl' gives the following error:

Syntax error on line 108 of /etc/apache2/default-server.conf:
Invalid command 'SSLEngine', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

<IfDefine SSL>
SSLEngine off (line 108)
</IfDefine>

I tried setting it to 'on' but got the same problem. I was looking at a guide that said 'a2enmod ssl' would do the rest of the required work to get ssl running but I get 'command not found' in response.

I would be hugely grateful for any help.
