[SOLVED] Apache "httpd.conf" file missing

Thanks for helping in advance.

This must be a common error.. I searched the forum but couldn't find anything on it so I'll have to ask.

Trying to install Apache server on XP and got Apache "httpd.conf" file missing.

I shutdown the firewall and made the directories shareable, but install still will not write the httpd.conf file to the directory.

And while were on the subject, It asks for domain name, server name, admin email at the start of install. I am going to run Apache as my localhost. Should I put localhost in for domain name and myname@localhost or doesn't it matter?

thanks..

It wont matter about your domain and server name if you don't plan on going online with your files and just wanna run a stand alone. I have the http.conf file you need if you want it I can email it to you and let you know what you should change...
