Another Newbie Configuration Prob

Hi there,

 

I'm sorry for what will probably be a stupid question.  :-\

 

I downloaded and installed the latest version  of XAMMP

After a day of hairpulling I found this guide;

I followed the instructions in section four (configuring apache to run php in httpd.conf) and when I tested it using <?phpinfo()?> it worked!!!!

 

But then I closed httpd.conf (which I opened in Nopepad) and when asked I saved it.

Now I can't get Apache to start from the XAMPP control panel.

 

Any help greatly appreciated
