newbie101 Posted February 25, 2007 Share Posted February 25, 2007 Hi, As my nick says im a newbie to this. I have studied db and php before but i never actually did it at home or on xp. Im ok with actual coding of sql and php but im new to setting it up (admin stuff). I want to install postgreSQL, php and some server (apache ?) to hold it on my home desktop that has XP professional edition. I cannot seem to find a set of instructions that works. I managed to install it (postgres). I created a role but i cannot seem to create a tablespace under a location to hold my dbs. It says something about the user does not have permission. Im not a multiuser/server system so i dont know where im suppose to give permissions. After reading different instructions im LOST! lol Can someone tell me some initial steps to get postgres/php/some server(apache) running? Im planning on designing a basic php/db website that runs off a local server. Any help to get the ball rolling will be much appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!
