Vikas Jayna
We are running a matrimonial site, wherein we open the profiles of people in popup windows with scrollbars enabled. The issue is that the scrollbars appear only when the entire page has downloaded including the ads/banners and on slow internet connections the users have to wait for 10-15 seconds for the scrollbar to appear. This is certainly the case with Firefox 2.0. Is there a way out in javascript wherein the scrollbar in the popup window appears immediately and keeps expanding as the content keeps downloading? mainewoods
It sounds to me like your problem is that your whole page is one big html table. The problem with that is that the browser has to figure out how to render the whole table before it will render any of the table. Try breaking your html table down into at least 2 parts where the first table closes just below one screen height.
