jaymc Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 When my mysql server has issues PHPMYADMIN sometimes reads that one of the table is currently 'in use' When this happens no query can execute on that table What can i do about this apart from manually repairing that table which then solves it? MadTechie Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 use UNLOCK TABLES UNLOCK TABLES explicitly releases any locks held by the current thread. All tables that are locked by the current thread are implicitly unlocked when the thread issues another LOCK TABLES, or when the connection to the server is closed. UNLOCK TABLES is also used after acquiring a global read lock with FLUSH TABLES WITH READ LOCK to release that lock. (You can lock all tables in all databases with read locks with the FLUSH TABLES WITH READ LOCK statement.
