Confused on getting correct answers from database and putting into an array.

Hi All,

 

I have a post on another board, and I normally do not post to more than one at a time, but I am trying to solve this and I am getting frustrated with the answers. This is not normally the case with me, FYI.

 

http://phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?t=10336903 Here is my post and you will see what I am trying to do. I have got, "this is horrible" but the person answering is a lot more knowledgable than I and I cannot understand where I am off or how to proceed.

 

I am TOTALLY open to fixing this, scraping it and going another direction, I just need some guidance.
