print formatted string in PHP

well I have a text file which contains some formatted text  (means paragraph,newlines & bullets are there) & I want to print that text through PHP in exactly the same style as in text file well I used PHP's fread() function but it just gave my all the text without formatting so If any one can help me??Remember it is urgent
