Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I've problems connecting to ms-sql server on remote machine.

Computer A running Apache 2.0.58+PHP 5.1.4

Computer B running mssql server 2000

authentication(mixed)

All are running windowsXp

the code(for testing only)

<?

$dbconn=mssql_connect("SERVERB","sa","password") or die("connection error");

echo "Connected";

?>

I execute this code from computer A using command line it shows connected,

but when using browser it shows connection error.

I tought it must be firewall setting, then I set firewall off on both side, still the same problem occur.

try to find from internet, it says put ntwdblib.dll that comes from sql server cd into c:\windows\system32 and directory where php is installed. I restart the computer, but still no result

Does anyone know what might be the problem ?

Regards

~pap
