FullText & Replication Question

I have a just-in-case question I'm hoping someone can help me with...

 

I currently have two databases, one is set as a master and the other is a replicating slave.  I am also currently using FULLTEXT on severeal tables.  Everything is working fine, no troubles.

 

I want to reduce the ft_min_word_len value and reindex the tables in question.  I have a pretty comfortable grasp on this process (setting the value, updating the startup scripts, etc..). 

 

Here's the question:

 

Is it enough to make these changes on the master server, or do I have to make the same changes to each server?
