keep getting http 403 (forbidden) error when trying to load a .php file

HI All,

 

please can someone help.

 

I have installed apache 2.2.4 and php 5.2.1 on a win 2000 machine.

 

Each time I try loading a .php file in internet explorer I get the http 403 (forbidden) error and dont know how to view my php / html pages via the apache web server.

 

Please help
