I want to call a local windows command from a remote web server.  Something like this - which works when the web server is running on the local machine - but I want it to run on a web server elsewhere on my LAN.  Is it possible?? ???

Any way to tag an IP onto something like this?

I believe PHP can only run programs that are on that server. It would be havoc if PHP could make a user open notepad.exe!! EEK it could even be a virus. I do not think what you want is possible due to security.

PHP can only run app on the server its running from...

 

Browsers are bult to stop web application messing up peoples computer so lauching a program from a webbased interface are a no, no!

 

Besides i would be REALLY pissed off if i click a link on every website and something fired up!

No it is not possible to do that (if I am understanding the question right)

A remote Windows Users computer allowing this to happen would greatly compromise security if it was allowed.
