obewan
I want to call a local windows command from a remote web server. Something like this - which works when the web server is running on the local machine - but I want it to run on a web server elsewhere on my LAN. Is it possible?? ??? $command = "start notepad.exe"; if(exec($command)) echo "command issued<br>"; Any way to tag an IP onto something like this? per1os
I believe PHP can only run programs that are on that server. It would be havoc if PHP could make a user open notepad.exe!! EEK it could even be a virus. I do not think what you want is possible due to security.

rtconner
No it is not possible to do that (if I am understanding the question right) A remote Windows Users computer allowing this to happen would greatly compromise security if it was allowed.
