DanDaBeginner Posted March 21, 2007 Share Posted March 21, 2007 most of the web hosting company support PHP4 than PHP5, for me the biggest advantage of PHP5 over PHP4 is the newly added function for CLASS and some bugs(go to php.net for more details) were fix.. per1os Posted March 21, 2007 Share Posted March 21, 2007 PHP5 is by far better, but for developing an application you almost have to do it in 4, or you can code it in 5 and make sure it is compatible with 4. But yea, if you are just doing it for fun or for yourself where you know the environment is always going to be one or the other, do 5. Way better.
