I am currently setting up a osCommerce site.

However I am trying to run it on mysql-5 so a lot of the queries don't work.

It would be appreciated if someone could modify this bit of code to mysql-5 standard for me so that I can see how it differs from 4x.

select count(p.products_id) as total from products_description pd,
products p left join manufacturers m on p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id,
products_to_categories p2c left join specials s on p.products_id = s.products_id
where p.products_status = '1' and
p.products_id = p2c.products_id and
pd.products_id = p2c.products_id and
pd.language_id = '1' and
p2c.categories_id = '37'

[TEP STOP]

Any pointers or tips for other problems I may face is appreciated.

Or links to any examples on converting mysql-4 to mysql-5 queries.

Thankyou.  :)

SOLVED.

Hey thanks for the reply.

Yes, I was trying to run osCommerce that was written for mysql-4 on a mysql-5 server so I was getting errors.

I found a link showing the difference between the mysql-4 code and the mysql-5 code so I have now updated the code.

While it doesn't mean much to me, if anyone wants to see the difference between the 2 here is the link.
