I have been working on php for almost 2 years now.

With lots of help, and tutorials out there, I managed to help myself around problems.

 

I have my first real project on hand, and would like to get your thoughts on it.

I need to build a system where user's can request files from a offsite storage facility.

This obviously means there will be a add, edit, remove, and booking section.

Also user management, with security levels.

 

Before I start, I want to know if anybody knows about a existing system like this.

I couldn't find one. I guess I'd have to start with a diagram, laying out the DB structure and process flows.

 

Do you guys have any suggestions on step I should follow for best practise?

Or even a template Diagram, so I can see how it should be done.

I wouldn't want to get half way and realise there was an better way.
