Rojay Posted April 12, 2007 Share Posted April 12, 2007 Alright i had Appserv installed which installs apache 2.2 and it was running perfectly but now whenever i type localhost or 127.0.0.1 it says page cannot be displayed and the problem presists with any other broswer i uninstalled apache 2.2 and installed apache 1.3 but nothing the problem is still there and i also tried accessing other programs that has a webserver built in and they work perfectly and even when i change the port in apache conf file it still doesnt open just because i thought there might be other program listening to the same port and i uninstalled appserv and installed easyphp and also didnt work HELP PLEASE Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/46764-apache-problem/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
wildteen88 Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 When you changed the port did you append the port number after localhost, for example you changed the port Apache listens on to 8080. The url should be: http://localhost:8080 Also make sure any changes you make to the httpd.conf file you restart Apache.
