Hakou Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 Well I've been reading and searching on this site and forum for a member script that does everything I want or at least the majority of it. But not much luck there, all I found were simple signup scripts or scripts that did different things. Well if you'll stay with me here and just read what kind of script I'm looking for... The member script I'm looking for is similar to what phpfreaks has but with a few additions and changes. It's a content management script I want but with: The standard: - Register - Login - Forgot Password When they're registering it'll ask for: - Username - Password - Password Confirmation - Email - Email Confirmation * Option to choose to hide email from public - Other optional questions like: - Birthday - Location - ICQ / AIM / Yahoo - Avatar / Upload When they're logging in it'll change the login part into: - Modify Profile - Change Avatar - Private Message - Sign out When they're in the forgotten password page it'll ask for: - Username - Email When they're in their change avatar page they can: - Link to an image - Upload their own image (cap of 300kb or something) If they don't link to an image or upload their own ... it'll just be a default image Cap image size to 100x100 (can change in admin panel) Alright, well those are the standard things I'm looking for. Here's the some parts I can't seem to find on any member script I've tried. Viewing members: When they're viewing members or their own profiles it'll display their: - Username - User ID - Avatar - Website - ICQ - AIM - Signature - Comments from other users - Online / Offline - Private Message User When they're modifying their own profile, they can modify any of those. Alright here's the complicated part... News part showing: - Title - Posted by (only admins) - Date - Time - News itself - Comments (Number of comments) This is the part I really want .. the comments section ... Like any comment script, it'll show the news at the top then about 10-15 comments for each page with: - A drop down menu to go to that specific comment page example if there's like 200 comments and only 10-15 pages and I want to go to comment 120, then I can keep skipping pages until I find it. For the comments itself will be displayed like this: - User Avatar - Username - Amount of posts - Ranking (set my admin depending on amount of posts) - Date posted - What number the post is on - For example if they're the 15th person to comment then it'll say "#15" - Online/Offline - Ability to Quote that comment When they're making a comment post they can: (no html allowed) - Put the text in spoiler code (wrapped around in black so others won't be spoiled unless they click to unhide it) - Put the text in a quote which is a light color but different from the comment itself. - Font size and color For private message it'll display: - Inbox - Saved Messages - Sent Messages - Compose new message For Inbox it'll display 20 each page where it'll show: - Title of PM - User it was from - Date recieved - Check boxes to select options to either delete, mark as read, mark as unread or move to saved messages. For Saved and Sent ... same as inbox When composing new private messages it'll ask for: - Recipient - Title of Message - Message itself (ability to user features like comments where you can change size and color of font or put the message in spoil tags or in a quote tag) Other complicated things I want are: - Poll script (must be a registered user) - Fan art (must be a registered user as well) - Download Script (must be a registered user) - Ranking System (depends on number of posts) - Statistics Displaying: Admins Online Visitors Online Members Online Total Registered Users Admin Panel - Changing Username - Changing Password - Changing Avatar - Changing user Title/Rank Title - Set Ranking (user to moderator or admin) - Ranking setup (Able to add titles for number of posts by user) - Moderate Fan Arts - Moderate Polls - Banning User - Censor Words - Logout Moderator Panel - Changing user Title/Rank Title - Moderate Fan Arts - Moderate Polls - Banning User - Censor Words - Logout Well if anyone knows where I can get a script similar to this then it'll be greatly appreciated. If not, then if someone can point me in the right direction on how to start such a member script, greatly appreciate that as well. PS: All website integrated. rcorlew Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 Anywhere from $15-$30 hr and about a day or so worth of work. I really don't do freelance so I really don't know. I have something similar that I have made for one site and it took me about two days to set all the stuff up right. It has all the username, password, forgotten password, email conformation, userlevel things but no avatars and all the personal stuff.
